- What is the best possible solution?
- Keep busy.
- Don't fuss about trifles.
- Use the law of average to outlaw your worries.
- Cooperate with the inevitable.
- Decide just how much anxiety a thing may be worth and refuse to give it more.
- Don't worry about the past.
- Fill your mind with thoughts of peace, courage, health and hope.
- Never try to get even with your enemies.
- Expect ingratitude.
- Count your blessings-not your troubles.
- Do not imitate others.
- Try to profit from your losses.
- Create happiness for others.
- Pray
- Remember that unjust criticism is often a disguised compliment.
- Do the very best you can.

- Rest before you get tired.
- Learn to relax at your work.
- Protect your health and appearance by relaxing at home.
- Apply these four good working habits:

Dale Carnegie's Golden Book-Part 1
Today I received a tiny book from the Dale Carnegie Training Centre..and I found it very helpful and thus, wanna share with you.
PRINCIPLE FROM HOW TO WIN FREINDS AND INFLUENCE PEOPLE
Become a Friendlier Person
- Don't criticize, condemn or complain.
- Give honest, sincere appreciation.
- Arouse in the other person an eager want.
- Become genuinely interested in other people.
- Smile.
- Remember that a person's name is to that person the sweetest and most important sound in any language.
- Be a good listener. Encourage others to talk about themselves.
- Talk in terms of the other person's interests.
- Make the other person feel important-and do it sincerely.
Win People to Your Way of Thinking
- The only way to get the best of an argument is to avoid it.
- Show respect for the other person's opinion. Never say, "you're wrong."
- If you are wrong, admit it quickly and emphatically.
- Begin in a friendly way.
- Get the other person saying."yes. yes" immediately.
- Let the other person feel that the idea is his or hers.
- Try honestly to see things from the other person's point of view.
- Be sympathetic with the other person's ideas and desires.
- Appeal to the nobler motives.
- Dramatise your ideas.
- Throw down a challenge.
- Begin with praise and honest appreciation.
- Call attention to people's mistakes indirectly.
- Talk about your own mistakes before criticising the other person.
- Ask questions instead of giving direct orders.
- Let the other person save face.
- Praise the slightest improvement and praise every improvement. Be "hearty in your approbation and lavish in your praise".
- Give the other person a fine reputation to live it up to.
- Use encouragement. Make the fault seem easy to correct.
- Make the other person happy about doing the thing you suggest.

You've got mail

Yesterday night as I was studying, I suddenly remembered that the TV is showing my favourite movie-You've got mail, starring Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan..The movie started quite late, I think 10.30pm or 11pm..anyway, by the time I on the TV, the movie had started..
I have watched this movie more than 3 times and never got bored..it was such a romantic movie..sometimes, things are just amazing..anything can happen in our life..Tom and Meg met each other through the net..(without realising they were actually enemies..Tom's bookshop had caused Meg's bookshop to close down..).anyway..for more stories, please visit http://youvegotmail.warnerbros.com
However, last night I didn't manage to finish the whole movie coz it was too late already..and gotta wait for the Nightlines to finish..I surrendered..too sleepy and have to attend church services the next day..I think I am gonna get the DVD..
Today, after church service, managed to spend some quality time with family..we went for dim sum for brunch..the place was not too bad but then kinda hot..not air-conditioned..Today's weather also terrible..haze is getting worst!.Oh God, please give us rain...and pray that the haze will soon disappear..
Didn't get to watch F1 Suzuka Grandprix coz too tired..rather spent time sleeping..hehe..It was sad to see Schuey out of the race and Alonso won the title..which means chances of Schuey getting the championship title is so mild..Don't quite like Alonso..find him a bit arrogant..:P
ok..gotta go..hungry..ciao

Happy Lantern Day
当了4天的行政秘书,还蛮轻松的..上司请了两天的病假,自己也稍微空闲..在整理一些的文件,写会议记录等..昨天,MD突然间拨了个电话给我,突击检查..哈哈..当我拿起手提电话,就马上问安, "Good afternoon."."Good afternoon who?".."Good afternoon Mr Tan."..

Life as an Executive Secretary-Day 1
My new place seem comfortable..was actually right under the air-conditioner and it can be really cold..freezing..however, I felt I was so far away from everybody in the office..coz I can't see most of them (blocked by the wall) and no one to chat with..:(
GM had a short discussion with me after working hours..asking me hows my day? briefly telling me my job descriptions and also some personal matters..and he said he will be sending me to some courses..exciting..
This morning as I was browsing through the staff on leave list for Deeparaya, I realised there will be a day where I have to back up the accounts teams..all 3 of them on leave..pengsan ler..coz I have to handle 3 companies' accounts..hopefully nothing much on that day..
Last Sunday, had a chance to have lunch with Mark as he agreed to treat me if I was elected as VP for YM..however, I wasn't feeling well on that day..so had to settled for porridge..the gathering was pretty good and enjoyable..and he is a good story teller though..we chatted about 1.5 hours and I gotta leave for badminton game at 4pm..
The game was good..only 4 of us but a Vietnamese joined in as my partner..He was a cute guy..very friendly and played well..He was very much impressed with Jacky (a superb player..always trick us)..But then after the game, I felt really tired, especially my arms and legs..coz haven't been playing for more than 6 months and I think I stretched too much..muscles pained..anyway, I was looking forward for the next game, hopefully on every Sunday..
Later at night, rushed to my colleague's wedding dinner..only 5 of us in the table, which meant each of us got to eat 2 portions of the dishes..I didn't relly enjoy much coz as mentioned earlier..was not feeling well..3 more wedding dinners to attend for this month..scary..
