1 day at the barber

A man went to a barber shop to have his hair and his beard cut as always. He started to have a good conversation with the barber who attended him. They talked about so many things and various subjects. Suddenly, they touched the subject of GOD.

A relax weekend
Had a relax weekend..especially got some good rest..had been sleeping for hours on Saturday and Sunday..it was wonderful..
August is coming to the end..in 4 more days, we will be celebrating Malaysia 49th Independent Day..Merdeka!..Still remember that when I was small, dad actually took us to Dataran Merdeka to watch the parade..it was like long time ago..but as I grew up, 31st August each year is just another holiday for me..haha..
Oh another thing about 31st is the Baskin Robbins promotion..this month, there will be 3 days promotion, ie 29th, 30th and 31st where you get 31% discount off when you purchase the ice cream..last month, sis bought two handpacked..there is 1/4 left in the fridge..wondering whether should we buy this month again..kinda expensive though..
October..one of my busiest month..exam..and I am so lucky to receive 4 'red bombs' from friends..practically every week I had wedding dinner..donno how many pounds I am going to gain..and have to save money for angpow..haha..but then, receiving wedding invitations is a happy thing, to share the joy and happiness of the couples..so congrats to all of the 4 happy couples..
I watched the Turkish Grandprix..had not been watching F1 lately..and the race today was very exciting, especially during the last 10 laps, seeing how Michael Schumacher was chasing Alonso so closely and aggresively for 2nd place..and I was there hoping that Alonso's car would have an engine failure or whatsoever coz I m Ferrari supporter...anyhow, Felippe Massa won the race, his first Grand Prix victory..congrats to him..Mum was asking me.."eh, I thought he (M.Schumacher) always win the race?"..I was surprised coz mum actually followed the race..haha...

Dear Bloggie,
Here I am writing again, to share with you my stories.. Finally, I had a hair cut last Saturday..just 2 inches cut and amazingly, my hair was still curly..all I could say is that the hair stylist who permed my hair was skillful and expert.. and the money I paid for it was worthy afterall..
For the past 3 Saturdays, I had been buying lunch at this famous Laksa stall at Tmn Chi Liung..The owner, an elderly woman (bad tempered as well) always come around 2pm and start her business till night..So last Saturday, by the time I reached the stall, there was already people queueing up beside the stall..I waited for 30 minutes just to buy 2 packets of laksa..and as I was waiting, I looked around and try to observe the expression of those people who were waiting for their food..everyone was standing patiently, with no complaints at all... I remembered the first time I was at the stall..My ex-colleague was telling us about how famous was the laksa and we should all try it ..So I went and made my order..after 30min, my food was not served..I was quite angry and went straight to the owner and cancelled the order..What made me more furious was that the owner didn't really care of the cancellation and didn't try to assure me that the food was ready..It was as if.."Oh, it's alright..I still have many people queueing for my laksa, business is still coming."..So on one particular Saturday, I decided to wait for it..I really wanted to try it, to taste for myself..and I agreed with my colleague, the laksa was indeed very nice..
YM 55th anniversary celebration on last Saturday night was successful..once agai
n, good job to YM committees and the organising committees.Everyone enjoyed especially during games, where we could see how talented are the youths, to come out with a spontaneous sketch in 10 minutes..
ok then, ran out of idea on what to write already...to all my friends who are reading this, thank you so much for dropping by..arigato gozaimas

What's your beer personality
Though I don't drink beer, but just try this and have fun..and I am a Corona..(no idea what's that)
You Are Corona |
![]() You don't drink for the love of beer. You drink to get drunk. You prefer a very light, very smooth beer. A beer that's hardly a beer at all. And while you make not like the taste of beer, you like the feeling of being drunk. You drink early and often. Sometimes with friends. Sometimes alone. All the party needs is you! |

All work and no rest
A long time ago, there was an Emperor who told his horseman that if he could ride on his horse and cover as much land area as he likes, then the Emperor would give him the area of land he has covered.
Sure enough, the horseman quickly jumped onto his horse and rode as fast as possible to cover as much land as he could. He kept on riding and riding, whipping the horse to go as fast as possible. When he was hungry or tired, he did not stop because he wanted to cover as much area as possible. Came to a point when he had covered a substantial area and he as exhausted and was dying. Then he asked himself, " Why did I push myself so hard to cover as much land area? Now I am dying and I only need a very small area to bury myself."
The above story is similar with the journey of our life. We push very hard everyday to make more money, to gain power and recognition. We neglect our health, time with our family and to appreciate the surrounding beauty and the hobbies we love.
One day when we look back, we will realize that we don't really need that much, but then we cannot turn back time for what we have missed.
Life is not about making money, acquiring power or recognition. Life is definitely not about work! Work is only necessary to keep us living so as to enjoy the beauty and pleasures of life. Life is a balance of work and play, family and personal time. You have to decide how you want to balance your life. Define your priorities, realize what you are able to compromise but always let some of your decisions be based on your instincts. Happiness is the meaning and the purpose of life, the whole aim of human existence.
So, take it easy, do what you want to do and appreciate nature. Life is fragile,
life is short. Do not take life for granted. Live a balanced lifestyle and enjoy life!
Watch your thoughts; they become words.
Watch your words; they become actions.
Watch your actions; they become habits.
Watch your habits; they become character.
Watch your character; it becomes your destiny.

Dear Bloggie,
It's Thursday and somehow or rather, I felt that this particular week, time passed very fast..perhaps due to busy schedule that you didnt realise that every second, every minute, every day is so precious..
Last Sunday was my church Youth Sunday Service.. I was given the responsibility to lead the usher team..thank God that my team members had given me 100% co-operation and supports..Sermon on that day was a challenging one, especially it was directed to the youths today..I was glad that some of my CG members were touched by the sermon and had decided to serve Lord..Amen..
The next activity for the youth month will be Youth International Night on this coming Saturday (19/8)..We are celebrating 4th anniversary/55th annievrsary of YM/MYF..The organising committees had specifically requested that all youths to wear international/traditional costumes on that night..kinda headache on the attire, but then, I came across this blouse form a magazine and I like it so much...and guessed what, I bought it..and I think I am gonna wear it on that night..its a kimono style kinda blouse.
I was quite happy that I had my second appraisal from the management yesterday...Overall, my FC commented that I m lacking of business sense..ie, when it comes to statistic analysis, I am a bit poor on that..(this is my first commercial job and there is room for improvements)..Other than that, everything is good with me..she gave me a 8/10..Hopefully, there will be a pleasant increment at end of the month..
With effectively from August 2006, there is a job rotation between me and my colleague ..We will be switching job responsibilities..I am no longer in charged of transport department but be fully in charged on the company's account..It was challenging as there is more deadlines to meet and my FC felt that with this new job, I will be able to learn and upgrade my accounting knowledge..and I truly hope so.
Studies...a bit behind schedule..but I think I can make it..on Module 2 now..a long and dull module..
to be continued....

4th annual gathering
Finally, 4 of us meet up, Ah Bu (Ew's bf) and Donny (Rita's hubby) came too..at Secret Recipi, suggested by me..coz each time I am the one that organise the gathering, except for my birthday..
Rita gave us each a copy of her wedding photo..and guessed what, the 3 of us asked her the same question.."any good news arh"..kinda hilarious..It had been only 1/2 year after her marriage..not so soon ler..
And then, the topic went on around the table..asking each other on their latest updates (family, career, social etc)..and everyone is aiming on me..what to do, they are so concern of me..
Our annual gathering had ended until we meet again next year January..but of course, we can still meet up whenever we want..anytime, any place..

Captain's dinner on Doulos-30.7.2006

Though last weekend was quite busy, but I enjoyed it very much..especially the Captain's dinner onboard..
We received warm welcome from the Douloids..Makoto was our host for our table..Everyone is well-dressed..
The food was good-Creamy mushroom soup as starter, Roast chicken+vegeta

There were performances by the crew members, including a Swedish dance, singing and video clips. The ship is indeed a blessings from God..everyone onboard is talented..
Then, the Captain , an Australian, gave his speech..He shared

There were about 350 crew members, from 45 countries all over the world, serving the one and only God..God's love bind them together in unity..
The ship will be at Pasir Gudang, Johor on Wednesday (2/8)..pray that God will continue to use this ship as a tool of sharing gospel to the local people..
